Lagos Police Probe Claim That 15-Year-Old Carried Gun Hidden in Bread to Oshodi

A 15-year-old boy was reportedly apprehended in Lagos after a firearm was allegedly found concealed inside a loaf of bread. In a video of his questioning, the teenager said he lives around Mushin Market and identified the item recovered as a gun. He claimed that a friend named Samuel gave him the bread after he returned from school and asked him to deliver it to Oshodi. The boy said someone was expected to collect the bread at Terminal 1. The source of the firearm, the identity of the alleged friend and the intended recipient remain under investigation. As a minor, he should be handled in line with child-protection and juvenile-justice laws.
