Car Rams Through Nursery Fence, Injuring Three Children
Three children were hurt when a car smashed through the fence of a nursery playground in Ellesmere Port on Monday morning. Local police and emergency services, including two ambulances, an air ambulance and a fire engine, rushed to the Vale Road site at around 9:54 am. Staff at Partou Sunny Days Nursery and Preschool confirmed they were “dealing with an incident” and closed for the rest of the day. Photos show a grey vehicle embedded in the play area behind a green painted fence. Of the three injured youngsters, a two-year-old sustained serious injuries. A 63-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, and the vehicle involved has been removed from the scene.
