NASRE Mourns Sola Olugbemiro and Dotun Oladipo, Seeks Better Welfare for Journalists
The Nigerian Association of Social and Resourceful Editors has mourned the deaths of media publishers Sola Olugbemiro, popularly known as Solkem, and Dotun Oladipo of The Eagle Online. NASRE President Femi Oyewale described both men as respected journalists, colleagues and friends whose work contributed to Nigerian journalism and public discourse. The association extended its condolences to their families, colleagues and associates. NASRE said the losses should renew attention on the welfare of journalists. It urged government, media organisations and corporate bodies to expand access to healthcare, insurance, welfare support and improved working conditions for media professionals.
