Land Dispute: Church, Maharaj Ji Trade Claims as Police Arrest Five in Oyo
A land dispute involving Faith and Miracle International Church and the One Love Family has raised tension along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Oyo State. Police arrested five security personnel after a confrontation over the 3.5-acre property, which both sides claim belongs to them. Pastor Genga Faith David said his church holds a Deed of Conveyance and Certificate of Occupancy for the land. He alleged that church members were attacked after a crusade held there and appealed to security agencies to prevent the dispute from escalating. Maharaj Ji rejected the allegation, saying the land forms part of his Holy Land community. He said the arrested men were trying to stop church members from entering through an unauthorised route, and called for a lawful investigation and peaceful resolution.
