Barry Hearn Urges London to Secure Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury Fight

Veteran boxing promoter Barry Hearn has urged London Mayor Sadiq Khan to help bring a potential Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury heavyweight showdown to Wembley. Hearn said the UK should not lose another major British fight to overseas hosts offering huge site fees. Joshua and Fury have both competed in Saudi Arabia in recent years, but Hearn believes British fans deserve to see their long-awaited contest at home. He said Joshua’s team has an agreement stating the bout should take place in the UK. However, talks reportedly include the possibility of staging it in New York. Hearn called for government support and private investment to make a London event financially viable.
