Enyimba Coach Blames Fatigue and Missed Training for 4-2 Loss to Katsina United
Enyimba assistant coach Lawrence Ukaegbu says fatigue and a disrupted training schedule contributed to his side’s 4-2 defeat to Katsina United in the Nigeria Premier Football League. Enyimba fell behind early after an own goal in the sixth minute, before Katsina United added a second six minutes later. Dadong made it 3-0 in the 59th minute, but Enyimba fought back through goals from Michael and C. Egbe to reduce the deficit to 3-2. Katsina United scored again in the 80th minute to secure the win. The defeat was Enyimba’s fifth in eight league matches. Ukaegbu said the team had little time to recover or train after their previous match in Aba, travelling to Katsina without a full training session.
