2027: Amaechi Says ADC Is Ready to Challenge Tinubu at the Polls

ADC vice-presidential candidate Rotimi Amaechi says his party is prepared to challenge President Bola Tinubu politically ahead of the 2027 general elections. Speaking on Channels Television's Politics Today on Tuesday, Amaechi said Tinubu could continue expressing confidence about winning, but the contest would be decided at the polls. “Whatever the president wants us to do at the field, we will do it,” he said. Amaechi, who lost the APC presidential primary to Tinubu in 2022, said Nigeria needs to be rescued. He is paired with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on the ADC ticket for the 2027 election.
