Chelle Remains Confident After Super Eagles’ 3-0 Loss to Guinea-Bissau

Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle says Nigeria can still qualify for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations despite a 3-0 defeat to Guinea-Bissau in Bissau. Nigeria, who beat Madagascar 2-1 in their opening Group L match, are now second with three points from two games. Guinea-Bissau lead the group with six points. Chelle admitted that Guinea-Bissau were the better side. He said the poor pitch, intense heat and the hosts’ aggression made the match difficult for his players. The coach said Nigeria must win their two November matches against Tanzania before seeking revenge against Guinea-Bissau in Uyo.
