NPFL Schedules Orientation Workshop for Newly Promoted Clubs

NPFL Schedules Orientation Workshop for Newly Promoted Clubs

The Nigeria Premier Football League will hold a one-day orientation workshop on Friday, 26 June 2026. The session will introduce Sporting Lagos, Ranchers Bees, Inter Lagos and Doma United to league operations. Each club must send two officials at the level of chairman or general manager. Chief Operating Officer Davidson Owumi says the workshop will cover the NPFL framework, rules and licensing regulations. He urges participants to raise any questions during the interactive seminar. This workshop is the first in a series of pre-season activities ahead of the 2026/27 NPFL campaign. More details will follow through official league channels.

It's interesting that only chairman or general manager-level officials can attend. Might limit perspectives on day-to-day operational challenges.

Focusing on a single workshop may not solve deeper issues of infrastructure and funding at promoted clubs. They need more ongoing support.

Clubs should prepare detailed questions and operational documents beforehand to maximize the value of the one-day orientation session.
