Security Forces Launch Search for Six Imams Abducted in Zamfara
Security agencies in Zamfara have launched a rescue operation after six Imams were abducted along the Dakko–Damri feeder road in Bakura Local Government Area. Police said the clerics were travelling to Talata Mafara at about 11:30 a.m. on September 12 when armed attackers ambushed their vehicle and took them away. The Bakura Divisional Police Officer has deployed police personnel, the Vigilante and Crime Response Unit, and other security agencies to search nearby bushes. The police command has appealed to residents to share credible information that could help rescue the victims and arrest those responsible.
