My Husband’s Chats With Other Women Are Making Me Uncomfortable

My husband is a good man, but he regularly chats with other women. He calls them “babe”, checks up on them, makes late-night calls and hides some of these conversations from me. We have discussed it several times, and we usually move on afterwards. But it is becoming too much for me. Whenever I remember what he does, I feel irritated and distant from him for days. I do not want to keep bringing up the same issue or seem like I am overreacting, so I sometimes keep quiet when he asks what is wrong. But it is always on my mind. How can I handle this and communicate my boundaries without making things worse?

What boundary would make you feel respected here, and has he clearly agreed to it beyond simply moving on after each discussion?

Exactly, no be every issue should end with "we've talked." A clear boundary and real commitment to it matter.

The secrecy seems to be weighing as heavily as the chats themselves. Repeatedly hiding late-night conversations can erode trust, even when someone is otherwise good.

Calling someone a good man should not end the conversation. Good intentions do not automatically make repeated behaviour that hurts a partner acceptable.

Choose a calm time and state specific boundaries around pet names, late calls, and hidden chats. Then focus on whether his actions change consistently.
