FG Launches #UniteAgainstTerror Campaign, Urges All Nigerians to Stand United Against Terrorism
The Federal Government has called on citizens, media, civil society groups, and security agencies to join forces in a national response against terrorism and violent extremism. At a press briefing in Abuja, the Information Minister stressed that terrorism transcends tribe, religion, and politics, and any attack on one Nigerian is an attack on all. He assured that rescuing abducted schoolchildren and teachers remains a top priority for President Tinubu’s administration. Security agencies, under direct presidential orders, have intensified intelligence gathering, surveillance, and rescue operations. Recent successes include neutralising over 50 terrorists in Borno and dismantling criminal camps across other regions. The government also highlighted major court victories against perpetrators of past attacks and ongoing terrorism trials. Media professionals were urged to report responsibly to deny terrorists the publicity they seek. Citizens are encouraged to stay vigilant, share credible information, and reject divisive narratives.
