FRSC Urges Professional Drivers to Get Vision Tests to Prevent Road Crashes
The Federal Road Safety Corps has urged professional drivers to prioritise regular eye checks, warning that poor vision can increase the risk of avoidable road crashes. The Corps made the call during the launch of a free medical outreach in Abuja to provide vision tests, treatment and surgical interventions for drivers and other beneficiaries. The programme was organised with healthcare partners to mark World Sight Day. The FRSC said drivers need clear vision to recognise road signs, pedestrians, traffic lights and other hazards early enough to react safely. It encouraged motorists to follow medical advice and treat their health as an important part of safe driving.
