Ekiti First Lady, 22 Others Promoted to Professor at UI

The University of Ibadan has promoted Ekiti State Governor’s wife, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji, and 22 other academics to the rank of professor. Oyebanji, formerly a senior lecturer in the Department of Educational Management, was elevated to professor in the same department. The university also promoted 23 academics from senior lecturer to reader. The appointments were approved by UI’s Academic Staff Appointments and Promotions Committee on October 13, 2026. In total, 46 academic staff members were promoted, with effective dates ranging from 2017 to 2025.
