INEC: Lagos Leads Nigeria’s Voter Register With 7.49 Million Ahead of 2027
INEC says Lagos State has the highest number of registered voters in Nigeria ahead of the 2027 general elections, with 7,488,633 voters. Kano ranks second with 6,000,570 registered voters, followed by Kaduna with 4,000,640. Katsina, Oyo and Delta also have more than 3.5 million registered voters each. Benue, Ogun, Rivers and Bauchi complete the top 10 states by voter registration, according to figures presented by INEC Chairman Prof. Joash Amupitan at a press conference in Abuja.
