Flying Eagles Face Côte d’Ivoire for WAFU B U-20 Final and AFCON Place

Nigeria's Flying Eagles face hosts Côte d’Ivoire in the WAFU B U-20 Championship semi-final on Wednesday evening at Stade Charles Konan Banny in Yamoussoukro. Nigeria finished second in Group B after a 2-0 defeat to Burkina Faso. Côte d’Ivoire, however, enter the match with a perfect group-stage record of three wins, seven goals scored and none conceded. The Flying Eagles beat the Ivorians 2-1 at the same stage of the 2024 competition before going on to win the title. A win on Wednesday would take Nigeria to Sunday's final and secure qualification for next year's U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Ghana.
