Olopoeyan Denies Plans to Leave APM Amid Oyo Candidate Dispute
APM leader in Oyo State, Adebisi Olopoeyan, says he and his supporters have no plans to leave the party despite disagreements over its internal affairs and consensus candidates for local government elections. Speaking after a meeting with state executives and local government chairmen, Olopoeyan said the dispute was about protecting the rights of members who helped build the party. He insisted that APM belongs to all members and called for a more transparent and inclusive decision-making process. He also denied claims that the meeting was convened to remove state chairman Otunba Fagbemi Adegbenro. According to him, the party will accept the court’s decision on the disputed candidates and remain committed to resolving the matter through lawful means.
