Galadima Says Daughter With Multiple Degrees and PhD Cannot Find Work

Buba Galadima says his daughter, Zainab, has been unable to secure a job despite holding two first degrees, five master’s degrees, an ACCA qualification and a PhD. Speaking during an interview, Galadima claimed her difficulty finding work was linked to being his daughter. He said her qualifications and intellect had not translated into employment opportunities. He also said that 14 of his 15 children are graduates and that none of them has been able to find work. The comments have renewed debate about unemployment, connections and merit in Nigeria.
