Anu (Mercy) Wins Best Nollywood Film at Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival
Nigerian-American filmmaker Temitope Jude Egwu’s debut feature, Anu (Mercy), has won the Best Nollywood Film Award at the 2026 Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival in Canada. The film was screened at the festival on September 11 and received positive reactions from attendees. The award marks Bush Doctor Studios’ first major recognition on the international festival circuit. Egwu thanked co-director Wale Ilebiyi, the cast and crew, and everyone involved in the production. He dedicated the award to late Nollywood veteran Mrs Alwell Ademola Eniobanke.
