Julian Alvarez has reportedly told Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta that he is not interested in joining the club this summer. According to a report cited by TNT Sports, Atletico Madrid are willing to discuss a deal with Arsenal but want the Argentina forward to be convinced about the move first. Arsenal are said to be prepared to meet Atletico's valuation. Alvarez reportedly prefers a move to Barcelona and has little desire to return to the Premier League for family reasons. Atletico, however, have closed the door on selling him to their La Liga rivals. The situation could still change before the transfer window closes.
