Italian Court Orders Mistress to Pay €390,000 to Deceased’s Family After Fatal Bondage Accident

A civil court in Alessandria has ordered a woman to pay €390,000 to her lover’s wife and three children. The claim was originally valued at €1.125 million. Judges reduced the payout to 40% after finding the victim 60% responsible for suffocating during a bondage session in 2016. He became immobilised in an attic flat and could not be rescued by paramedics. The woman had already been convicted of negligent homicide and served a one-year sentence. This ruling ends a ten-year legal battle over damages for the fatal incident.
