Lexus Driver Fatally Kills Police Officer on Third Mainland Bridge

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority confirmed a police officer riding a Bajaj motorcycle was killed after being struck by a Lexus (EPE 765 JN) on Third Mainland Bridge, inbound toward Iyana Oworo, on Sunday. The driver of the Lexus surrendered at Adekunle Police Division. LASTMA and police officers quickly coordinated to place safety cones, manage traffic and begin emergency response. Vehicles were cleared and normal flow restored. LASTMA urged motorists to obey speed limits, avoid reckless driving and observe traffic regulations to prevent further fatalities across Lagos State.
