Boko Haram Abducts 13 Travellers, Including Seven-Month-Old Baby, on Biu–Damaturu Highway

The Biu–Damaturu highway in Borno was thrown into panic when Boko Haram gunmen intercepted two Golf Wagon vehicles and abducted 13 travellers, among them a seven-month-old infant. Families of the victims are pleading with the federal and state governments, security agencies and humanitarian organisations to step up efforts to rescue their loved ones. Relatives say they remain in deep fear and uncertainty, with no news of the abductees’ condition or location.
