Ben Dancer Completes Over Seven Days of Dancing in Lagos Record Attempt

Nigerian dancer Benjamin Daniel Gabriel, known as Ben Dancer, has completed a dance marathon lasting seven days, eight hours, 32 minutes and 59 seconds at Freedom Park in Lagos. The 33-year-old aimed to surpass the current officially recognised 127-hour record, set by Indian dancer Srushti Sudhir Jagtap in 2023. Guinness World Records has not yet confirmed a new record, as evidence from the attempt must first be submitted and reviewed. Ben Dancer performed to Afrobeats, fuji, jazz and zouk, while also wearing traditional outfits including agbada and dashiki. He took permitted rest breaks, stayed hydrated and received medical support during the challenge. He was taken for a medical check-up after completing the marathon.
