Ogun First Lady Launches Annual Free Surgery Camp with Advanced Cancer Screening
Ogun State First Lady flags off the annual free medical outreach at OOUTH, Sagamu. The Ajose Foundation and a team of U.S. specialists will serve over 300 vulnerable residents. An advanced colposcope is now in use for precise cervical screenings and early diagnosis. Complex surgeries include knee and hip replacements, breast lump removal, fibroid operations, hernia repairs and thyroidectomies, all free of charge. Dr. Bimpe Adenusi highlighted the camp’s expanded surgical capability, noting a free double knee replacement for a five-year-old patient. Mrs. Abiodun stressed that early detection is more effective and affordable than treating advanced disease. The First Lady urged well-meaning Nigerians to support quality healthcare for all, while the gubernatorial flagbearer’s wife commended the initiative and encouraged further community investment.
