Why Should I Accept Genesis Over Other Creation Stories?
I grew up Christian and have always believed the Bible is true. Recently, however, I have started questioning some things. I decided to read the Bible from beginning to end, hoping to find answers or better understand my doubts. As I started Genesis, one question stayed on my mind: what makes its creation account different from other creation stories? Different cultures, including Yoruba and Igbo traditions, have their own accounts of how the world began. Why should I reject those accounts and accept the story in Genesis instead?
