‘Eliminate Terrorists and Bandits Instantly’ — Defence Minister’s Directive to Security Agencies
Nigeria’s Defence Minister, Gen. Christopher Gwabin Musa (rtd), commissioned 62 armoured vehicles and 320 motorcycles in Sokoto, bought for about ₦27.7bn to boost security operations. He urged troops to kill terrorists and bandits instantly and appealed to all Nigerians to treat security as a collective responsibility. Gen. Musa praised Sokoto State’s efforts under Governor Ahmed Aliyu, who says the new vehicles will be deployed to flashpoints to tackle banditry, kidnapping and related crimes. He called on other governors and citizens to support security agencies, highlighting security as a top priority of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
