Russia Thrash Namibia 6-0 Ahead of Super Eagles Friendly

Russia warmed up for Tuesday’s friendly against Nigeria with a commanding 6-0 win over Namibia. They scored five times in the second half and limited Namibia to no shots on target. Nigeria will face Russia at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium with an experimental 24-man squad. Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, Alex Iwobi and Samuel Chukwueze are among the regulars unavailable for the match. Moses Simon, Kelechi Iheanacho and Akor Adams are expected to lead a youthful Super Eagles side. Nigeria drew 1-1 with Russia in Moscow in June 2025, with Tolu Arokodare cancelling out Semi Ajayi’s own goal.
