Ogun Security Guard Arraigned Over Alleged ₦5m Workshop Theft
A 34-year-old security guard, Mohammed Ahmed, has been arraigned at an Ota Magistrates’ Court in Ogun State over the alleged theft of mechanic workshop equipment and supplies valued at ₦5 million. Prosecutors alleged that Ahmed conspired with other suspects still at large to remove six adaptors, eight containers of hydraulic oil, three pumping cartridges and other items from a workshop in Iyana Ilogbo on July 15. He pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiracy and stealing. The court granted him ₦500,000 bail with one surety in like sum. The case was adjourned until August 10 for further hearing.
