Xavi Named Netherlands Head Coach on Deal Until 2030 World Cup
Spain and Barcelona legend Xavi Hernández has been named head coach of the Netherlands men’s national team, succeeding Ronald Koeman. The Dutch FA, KNVB, said Xavi has agreed a deal running until the 2030 FIFA World Cup. The appointment marks his first role in international management. Xavi previously managed Al-Sadd in Qatar before returning to Barcelona, where he won La Liga and the Spanish Super Cup in the 2022/23 season. As a player, he won multiple major trophies with Barcelona and helped Spain win the 2010 World Cup and the 2008 and 2012 European Championships.
