Ondo APC Stakeholders Slam AG Ajulo Over Denial of Primaries Violence
Concerned APC stakeholders and Ondo State indigenes have rejected Attorney General Olukayode Ajulo’s claim that there was no violence or manipulation during the party’s recent primaries. They say his statement attempts to rewrite events witnessed across the state. The group accused armed thugs of disrupting voting in several wards, including an alleged assassination attempt on a senator in Okelisa, Akure. They called Ajulo’s denial insulting and described it as complicity through silence. Stakeholders also faulted Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for imposing candidates in breach of the Electoral Act 2026. They argued that no valid consensus process took place since aspirants did not withdraw in writing or ratify any candidate. The group urged the APC National Working Committee to conduct an independent review of the primaries and called on security agencies to probe the reported violence. They demanded respect for the Electoral Act and an end to intimidation of party members.
