NDC Alleges INEC Published 10 Anambra Assembly Candidates It Did Not Nominate

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has alleged that INEC published the names and EC9E forms of 10 Anambra State House of Assembly candidates who were not nominated by the party. The party said the names did not emerge from its primaries, appeal process or approved final list. It is demanding an immediate electronic audit of INEC’s nomination portal to determine how the candidates’ details were entered. According to the NDC, its approved nominees were left pending on the portal while the disputed names were retained. The party alleges that INEC later accepted nomination forms directly from the affected persons, bypassing the party’s legal role in submitting candidates. INEC has not publicly responded to the allegations. The NDC says it will pursue the matter until the published list is reviewed.
