New Zone 13 AIG Pledges Intelligence-Led Policing in Anambra and Enugu

The new Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 13, AIG Miller Gajere Dantawaye, says his familiarity with Anambra and Enugu will support efforts to tackle insecurity across both states. Speaking after assuming office at the Zone 13 headquarters in Ukpo, Anambra State, Dantawaye said he would work with the Commissioners of Police, other security agencies, communities and traditional institutions. He identified kidnapping, armed robbery, cultism and cybercrime as key threats requiring intelligence-led and proactive policing. The AIG urged officers to uphold professionalism, accountability, integrity and respect for citizens’ rights. He also pledged an open-door leadership style and called on residents and stakeholders to cooperate with the police to improve security in Anambra and Enugu.
