Arsenal Reportedly Target Manchester United’s Nigerian-Eligible Defender Habeeb Ogunneye
Arsenal are reportedly considering a move for Manchester United defender Habeeb Ogunneye, who is eligible to play for Nigeria through his heritage. The 20-year-old spent part of last season on loan at Newport County, making 21 appearances before his recall in January. He has also featured in several United first-team matchday squads, including the club’s 2024 FA Cup semi-final against Coventry City. The reported interest follows United’s recent recruitment of former Arsenal academy players Ayden Heaven and Chido Obi. Ogunneye has represented England at Under-17 level but remains eligible for the Super Eagles.
