Two Killed as Gunmen Attack APC Supporters Before Ilesa Rally

Gunmen attacked APC supporters gathering for the party’s final campaign rally in the Igbogi area of Ilesa, Osun State, on Tuesday morning. Four people were reportedly shot. Two died, while two others were said to be in critical condition. The attack occurred around 7:30 a.m., shortly before the rally was scheduled to begin. Police said they suspect the shooting may be a reprisal following a cult clash in Ilesa the previous day that reportedly left three people dead. Officers have been deployed to investigate, but no arrests had been announced at the time of the report.
