Bayern Director Criticises Neuer After Error in Augsburg Draw

Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl has criticised Manuel Neuer’s decision-making after the goalkeeper’s early mistake contributed to a 2-2 Bundesliga draw against Augsburg. Neuer mishandled the ball and then attempted a risky recovery, allowing Robin Fellhauer to score. The goal gave Augsburg an early lead and denied Bayern the chance to move to the top of the table. Eberl said Neuer was not the only player at fault, pointing to several defensive errors. He added that Bayern still created enough chances to win and must improve their defensive stability in coming matches.
