Anambra Flood: Schoolboy Missing as Police Rescue Nine in Awka
A schoolboy remains missing after floodwaters swept through parts of Awka South Local Government Area, Anambra State, following persistent rainfall. Police said seven schoolchildren and two adults were rescued along Nibo-Isiagu Road in Awka during the early hours of September 22. Safe School Operatives and community members moved the victims to safety. The Anambra Police Command has expanded search-and-rescue efforts for the missing child. Residents, motorists, parents and schools have been urged to avoid flooded roads, bridges and waterways until conditions improve.
