Youth Confab Chair Commends South-East Participation in Virtual Session
Dr Maryam Ismalia Keshinro, Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Youth Development and chair of the 2026 National Youth Confab planning committee, has praised participation by young people from the South-East during the opening virtual session. Keshinro spoke during a visit to the Virtual Confab Situation Room at the National Information Technology Development Agency headquarters in Abuja. She inspected the team coordinating and monitoring the online sessions and described their work as important to an inclusive confab. She said the quality of young people’s ideas and solutions would determine the success of the dialogue. She also highlighted entrepreneurship training and part-time education as possible ways to support young Igbo people in business. The virtual engagement brings together youths from the six geopolitical zones ahead of later stages of the 2026 National Youth Confab.
