Embracing Sanctification: Walking in God’s Truth
Sanctification transforms you beyond the moment of salvation. It means offering your mind, will and dreams wholly to God and living as a “living sacrifice” (Romans 12:1). Though you became a new creature when Christ washed away your sins, sanctification lifts you to a deeper level of consecration. Jesus prayed that His followers be sanctified by the truth of Scripture (John 17:17, 19). This process gives you a heart aligned with God’s perfect will (Ezekiel 36:26). The Bible calls sanctification the circumcision of the heart (Deuteronomy 10:16; 30:6). It breaks the power of envy, jealousy and strife. Through Christ’s sacrifice, you are cleansed and made holy for His glorious purposes (Ephesians 5:26-27). Remember the promise: “The very God of peace will sanctify you wholly” (1 Thessalonians 5:23). Trust Him to preserve your spirit, soul and body until the coming of the Lord. Amen.
