Sevilla Question Refereeing After 4-1 Defeat to Real Madrid

1 / 2

Sevilla defender Juan Iglesias and the club's coaching staff criticised officiating after their 4-1 La Liga defeat to Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu. Iglesias argued that Arda Güler should have been sent off following an alleged first-half elbow on Peque. He also disputed the buildup to one of Real Madrid's goals, claiming there was a foul on Robbie Ure. Güler remained on the pitch and later scored as Real Madrid secured the win. Sevilla's complaints have fuelled fresh debate over VAR decisions and refereeing standards in La Liga.
