Police Arrest Suleja Man Over Video Allegedly Threatening Voters
The Niger State Police Command says it has arrested a 23-year-old Suleja resident over a video in which he allegedly threatened to attack people who refused to vote for a particular politician. Police said the suspect was seen holding a cutlass and a knife in the video. He was arrested by officers attached to the Suleja Area Command on 2 September. During questioning, the suspect allegedly said he made the video in an attempt to get money from the politician. He denied being sent by anyone to issue the threats.
