Lagos Court Acquits Man After Eight Years in Custody Over Rape Charge
A Lagos court has discharged and acquitted Taiwo Oyelabi, who spent more than eight years in custody over a rape charge involving his 21-year-old daughter. Justice Rahman Oshodi ruled that the prosecution had not proved the charge beyond reasonable doubt, particularly whether the sexual intercourse was without her consent.
