Dangote Lifts Petrol Price to N1,175/Litre Amid Global Oil Spike
Dangote Petrochemical Refinery has raised the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit to N1,175 per litre. This reverses the brief N100 cut to N1,075 on March 10, which had driven strong buying from depot operators. A senior refinery official, speaking anonymously, confirmed the new price. Depot operators in several hubs paused sales and loading operations were suspended to reconcile stocks and align with the revised rate. The price rise mirrors a jump in global crude costs. Brent crude climbed from about $91 to $100 per barrel on Middle East tensions. Nigeria’s Bonny Light also briefly broke above $100 amid fears of supply disruptions.
