How Cynthia and Cassandra Alozie Inspired Michelle’s Super Falcons Journey
Michelle Alozie’s journey to the Super Falcons was shaped by growing up alongside her sisters, Cynthia and Cassandra. The three Nigerian-American sisters played football together as children and attended football academies in the United States. Raised in California by parents from Imo State, Michelle was inspired by her older sisters’ early love for the sport. While Cynthia and Cassandra played at youth level, Michelle became the only sister to reach the professional game. Michelle began playing competitively as a teenager before featuring for Yale University and later the University of Tennessee. After impressing during a Houston Dash trial in 2021, she earned a call-up to Nigeria’s national team. Known for her versatility across defence, midfield and attack, Alozie has become a key Super Falcons player while also working as a cancer research technician.
