Three Killed, Three Injured as Crane Collides With Truck on Sagamu-Benin Expressway

Three people have died and three others were injured in a head-on collision involving a Mercedes-Benz truck and a crane on the Sagamu-Benin Expressway in Ogun State. The crash occurred around 5:00 a.m. near Babcock Junction in Ikenne LGA. TRACE said preliminary findings indicate that the crane was driving against traffic at excessive speed when it collided with the truck. The injured victims were taken to Babcock University Teaching Hospital, while the bodies of the deceased were deposited at the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital morgue. Authorities diverted traffic as recovery efforts continued and urged motorists to avoid one-way driving and other traffic violations.
