Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare played all 90 minutes as Ajax lost 2-1 to Hajduk Split in their UEFA Conference League opener at Stadion Poljud. Hajduk took the lead in the 37th minute through Abdoulie Sanyang after Marin Šotiček won possession in midfield. Ajax equalised shortly after the break when Davy Klaassen converted Thilo Kehrer’s cross. The hosts restored their advantage two minutes later as Šotiček finished a move started by Michele Šego. Arokodare remained a threat in attack and registered three shots, but Hajduk held on for a notable home win.
