NFSAN Lagos Seeks Maritime Internship Opportunities for Female Students
In my capacity as NFSAN Lagos State Vice Chairperson, I led a delegation on a familiarisation and partnership visit to the Lagos State Waterways Authority. We discussed ways to create opportunities for female students across Lagos. Our delegation requested internship consideration for students in maritime-related fields, subject to available openings. LASWA also approved an educational visit that will expose female student delegates to waterways management and career paths in the maritime sector. We also shared plans to mark the International Day of the Girl Child in selected Lagos secondary schools. The programme will provide school essentials and sensitisation on menstrual hygiene and reproductive health. LASWA indicated its willingness to support the initiative.
