Army Appoints Major General Ajose to Lead Operation Hadin Kai
The Nigerian Army has appointed Major General IA Ajose as the new Theatre Commander of Operation Hadin Kai, the Joint Task Force leading counter-insurgency operations against Boko Haram and ISWAP in the North-East. Ajose takes over from the Department of Army Operations at Army Headquarters as part of a wider redeployment of senior officers approved by the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu. The reshuffle also affects several senior commanders, including Major General RT Utsaha, Major General AM Umar, Brigadier General MS Adamu and Brigadier General MS Sule. The Army said the postings are intended to strengthen command structures and improve responses to evolving security threats.
