Are My Views on Christianity and Islam the Real Problem?
Could my views on religion be the real problem? I struggle to understand why the idea of a final doctor, teacher, nurse or lawyer would be dismissed in a world where people are born every day, yet the idea of a final prophet is widely accepted. In my view, this belief can have harmful consequences when it is treated as unquestionable in public life. I also question how a modern society can accept religious organisations built around the belief that future wrongdoing was already paid for through the death of a man thousands of years ago. Does that belief weaken personal responsibility and moral accountability? These are my public views on Christianity and Islam. I am willing to change my position if someone presents a stronger argument. However, I do not think my views should justify the Federal Government using my ideas without compensation, especially while I have no income.
