Dani Carvajal Joins Getafe After 23 Years at Real Madrid
Former Real Madrid captain Dani Carvajal has joined Getafe on a free transfer after his contract with Madrid expired in June. The 34-year-old right-back signed a deal until June next year. Getafe, who are 11th in La Liga, said they were pleased to add his experience and leadership to the squad. Carvajal spent 23 years at Real Madrid and won 27 trophies, including six UEFA Champions League titles. Injuries and reduced playing time affected his final seasons at the Bernabeu following the arrival of Trent Alexander-Arnold. He also made 51 appearances for Spain, helping the national team win the Nations League in 2023 and the European Championship in 2024.
